The most patient, encouraging and talented teacher there is. A micro grain of creativity will be rooted out by Annette and hey presto…. a new world of art and fun.

I spent a wonderful day in Montpellier at one of Annette’s beginner workshops. I’m amazed at how much I learned in just a few hours. Annette is a great teacher and really made me feel comfortable – I have gone from thinking “I just can’t draw”, to “I CAN, and it’s fun!”. Annette gave so many useful little tips along the way, which made all the difference to my feeling capable and wanting to continue sketching. Added bonus: I now have a lovely souvenir of the beautiful Montpellier architecture!

Thank you Annette for such a fascinating and mindful morning in Narbonne, I feel I now understand so much more. I really enjoyed the joyful yet studious atmosphere you generated.

I live in southern France and I’m fortunate to have been able to participate in several of Annette’s workshops, from a half-day to several days. I enjoy her style of teaching, not prescriptive and encouraging to all levels. In the course of the last five years I have learned a huge amount about sketching and watercolours from her and I believe I’ve improved hugely. Even though I live here I’ve learned much about the area through Annette’s local knowledge. If you’re visiting the area it’s a great way to get to know it and make some holiday memories. Next month I’m joining her workshops at Collioure further south on the coast. I’m looking forward to it very much.

I attended a Paris weekend earlier this year with Annette Morris Art. It was fantastic, we really explored Paris and captured lots of memories in our sketching. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed a great 4 day sketching holiday with Annette in Quarante, France. Excellent tuition with useful exercises and tips. I think I became a little more colourful!! Annette is very organised, inspirational and enthusiastic. The bed and breakfast accommodation with Annika was “palatial” but so relaxed and comfortable that it was like staying with an old friend. Annette is an ideal teacher for both beginners, and experienced sketchers and water-colourists. She’s patient, encouraging and suggests new techniques to try. She helps you discover your own style which is so refreshing ! I learnt so much and had so much fun. This was a great workshop by one of my favourite watercolour artists. The pace was fast (although I do appreciate the time restraints) and I was able to follow along for most of it and then complete any finishing touches afterwards. The PDF was a welcome addition as a step by step guide too.

Today we drove 2hrs to Capestang for a lesson with Annette Morris. Sketching and watercolor is not my forte but life forces change.

So I sat on a camping chair in the old cobbled street in Capestang and sketched one of the oldest buildings in the area. Annette next to me guiding me, as I pushed through my block of sketching . And I loved every minute .

I had a great week learning to sketch with Annette. As an absolute beginner I was a little uncertain and lacking confidence but Annette was super helpful and as the week went on I started to produce some art that I was actually quite proud of. The other students were great company and the whole week was thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Have just finished a workshop tour with the amazingly patient, creative and inspiring Annette Morris – couldn’t have asked ffor a better teacher. Annette was so encouraging & gave generously of her time, ideas & those ‘secret’ sketching spots that were so varied & inspiring. Fab holiday!

I would go anywhere in the world with Annette’s sketch group! Such a magical and unique experience getting to explore a city through the lens of sketching with people from all over the world. From logistics to art instruction, Annette does a wonderful job leading the workshop. I learned so many new things and I will undoubtedly sketch and see the world in a new way after this trip. I enjoyed my holiday near Beziers very much.
Annette is an excellent teacher, supportive and attentive to each student’s needs.
I produced better pictures than I had anticipated but my holiday was absolutely crucial for me in deciding the direction in which I wanted my art to go. I shall always be very grateful to Annette for that.

You don’t have to be an artist or any good at drawing to have a fabulous time with Annette. First time sketching and the time flew past. And our sketches actually look like something!!! Great time and learned so much.

Still buzzing nearly a week after Springtime in Paris with Annette. Excelled all my expectations and if you want Paris to get into your soul, and not just be a tourist, this is the way to do it! It’s exciting, exhilarating and enlightening and I recommend a good pair of comfy shoes along with a good quality sketchbook. Annette is not just an accomplished artist, she is an encouraging teacher who also happens to be the best tour guide, bus planner, café connoisseur, reserver of restaurants and much much more! You will never look at Paris in the same way and as a bonus you will meet a special band of brothers. You’ll come home with an extraordinary sketchbook souvenir.

I spent the weekend sketching with Annette and a lovely group of women. I’m an absolute beginner and Annette was so helpful, a great teacher and a very talented artist who has inspired me to sketch and water colour and its now my new favourite thing to do. ☺️
