Le Somail is one of the most iconic locations on the Canal du Midi and an idyllic place to learn to sketch.

You don’t need previous art experience to join this workshop – just an interest in travel sketching and a willingness to learn.  We’ll look at page planning, textures and colours and how to work with ink and watercolour on location.

Workshop starts 10am with a quick warm up sketch over coffee.

You will need a sketchbook with paper 180gsm or higher – which can be purchased on the day.

We will also use a black waterproof ink pen, HB pencil, basic watercolour kit, brush and water pot.  Materials can be available on load if you do not have your own.
