In France we have been ‘deconfined’ for just over a week and this area has been designated a ‘green zone’. This suggests that the number of Covid cases are falling, restrictions can be eased and we can resume some pre-pandemic activities. For a region economically dependent on tourism, this is a timely development. Cafés, beaches, restaurants, gîtes & B&Bs are due to re-open in June, and some inbound flights appear to be starting from early July.
It all sounds very encouraging, yet global figures have shown that we can’t assume anything when it comes to this virus.
Subject to the next French government announcements, I hope that local Sketch Languedoc workshops will restart in late June/early July, but I will confirm all details in my newsletter and in the announcement on this website.
Good times
Sketching is a form of relaxation, a time for mindfulness and losing yourself in the moment. When we sketch together we learn much more than how to put marks on paper – we discover more about where we are and enjoy a fun day out with like-minded folks. When the Sketch Languedoc programme does resume (which it will), the events will be as relaxing, fun and safe as I can make them.
Personal Kit
One slight change in format I do envisage, is that to avoid too many things changing hands, you will need your own sketchbook and some basic sketching materials.
If you don’t yet have a kit, I have a variety of items that you can pre-purchase and will be ready for you at the workshop.
The packaging will be sanitised, of course.
