Je suis britannique et vis dans le Languedoc depuis plus de 10 ans. En plus d’être une francophile bilingue et dessinatrice des sites web, je suis une artiste exposante et fondatrice de Urban Sketchers Languedoc.
Dans les ateliers Sketch Languedoc! je vous aiderai à découvrir ou à progresser votre sketching jusqu'à vous vous sentiez confiant et passionné par vos talents. Chaque classe est différente et il y a d'innombrables occasions d'apprendre quelque chose de nouveau. L’accent est mis sur l’observation, le plaisir de la vie dans le «maintenant»!
Je ne vous apprendra pas à peindre une peinture 'parfaite', l'objectif est de dessiner ce que vous voyez sur place, vos impressions, vos souvenirs, lorsque vous n'avez que quelques heures. Ces ateliers intensifs vous aideront à développer vos compétences à travers différents sujets et techniques.
La vie d'aujourd'hui est trop axée sur le raisonnement et la logique. Avec les croquis nous rentrons en contact avec nos côtés créatifs. L'accent est mis sur l'amusement et le plaisir de découvrir la beauté autour de nous quotidiennement.
Egalement, avec cette limite de temps, vous n'avez pas la possibilité de "trop penser" ou de "surcharger" votre croquis. Le stylo prend le relais, pas le cerveau. Certaines personnes l'appellent la pleine conscience, moi je l'appelle sketching!
Si vous n’avez jamais dessiné auparavant, ou vous ne vous sentez pas capable de le faire seul(e), laissez-vous surprendre par ce que vous pouvez apprendre en quelques heures seulement! Vous n’avez besoin d'apporter que vous-même et un esprit ouvert!

If you look for a day that can make you completely happy, then join a sketching class with Annette Morris – it was so much fun, also lovely relaxing, surrounded by nice people, it was just great! It was like playing golf, only much better! Thank you so much and hopefully I can join another class soon again!

I had a wonderful week sketching with Annette last year. As a newcomer to sketching she gave me huge confidence and invaluable help and encouragement when needed. I recently joined Annette’s sketching weekend in Carcassonne. I go sketching every now and then but I’ve always felt a little bit uneasy with watercolour, despite how much I like it. Annette met me where I was at and tailored her guidance and choice of subjects based on what I was keen to experiment with. I got to try many different ways of approaching a watercolour painting, some of which I wasn’t even aware of! Thanks to her excellent guidance, actionable tips, and infectious love for bold colours, I can’t wait to get out there sketching again (with watercolour, of course!). Sketching locations in Carcassonne are excellent, ranging from medieval structures to cute cafes and restaurants. Annette is a lovely human whose passion for sketching and for sharing her craft is truly inspiring. I look forward to joining another one of her workshops in the hopefully not-too-distant future!
