SUMMARY:French Village & Vineyard Views
DESCRIPTION:Ideal for: A weekend break\, Walking\, Wine-tasting\, Photography\, Cycling \n\nFor this weekend break we’ll be based in the historic village of Montouliers – located in the heart of Languedoc’s Minervois wine-growing region. We’ll start by getting to grips with some of the basics of travel sketching with ink and watercolour – ideal for beginners or a great refresher if you’ve already got some drawing or painting experience. We’ll be exploring the village and surrounding area through our sketches\, learning a whole pack of tips and tricks about perspective\, colour\, journaling and of course\, tasting some of the local produce! \nThe holiday starts on Friday evening with a welcome drink at 6pm. We shall start sketching at 9.30am on Saturday finishing at approximately 4.30pm.  On Sunday we will sketch from 10am through to 1pm and the afternoon is yours to enjoy\, relax\, explore\, or sketch some more! \n \nWhere to stay: \nLa Calade is a newly renovated Chambre d’hôtes with 4 beautiful first floor bedrooms. All rooms have original features and beautiful private bathrooms. There is also a communal kitchen/dining area for guests to prepare their own meals if necessary. \nIf you have any questions about the accommodation or would like to book\, please email your hosts Natalie and Robert info@lacalade.fr \n\nRoom prices: \nDouble room (sole occupancy): 195€\nDouble room (2 guests): 270€\nTwin room (2 guests): 240€\nSuite (2 guests): 240€\nA 100€ deposit will secure your accommodation. The balance is payable by bank transfer 30 days before the holiday starts. \nTransport recommendations:\nFly to Béziers\, Carcassonne\, Perpignan or Montpellier\nClosest railway station: Narbonne\nWe suggest you hire a car but airport pick-up can be arranged if necessary. \nWhat to bring:\nSketchbook\, Portable sketching stool\, Basic watercolour travel set\, Watercolour brush\, HB/B/2B pencil\, eraser\, sharpener.
