DESCRIPTION:Suitable for: Beginners\, Week away with the Girls\, Solo Travellers\, Travel with a non-sketching partner\, Francophiles\, Wine lovers\, Hikers \n\nChalabre is a small but beautiful medieval town situated deep within Cathar country in the very south west corner of the Aude\, Chalabre is the capital of the Quercorb region not far from the Spanish border.  Being close to the Pyrénées\, this picturesque town benefits from a Mediterranean climate yet with mountain influences.  The town has weekly markets\, quaint half-timbered houses and impressive stone châteaux.  The river ‘Hers-Vif’ flows through Chalabre\, adding to the charm with small bridges and riverside paths. \nThis weekend workshop offers the chance to discover this fascinating location through sketching in ink and watercolour.  Explore and capture the quiet cobblestone & riverside laneways of a medieval town in a historic part of southern France. \nGetting to Chalabre:\nChalabre is located between Toulouse\, Carcassonne and Perpignan airports. Carcassonne is the closest train station which can be reached from Barcelona or Paris.
