This creative break is designed to help you capture the very essence of this beautiful area whilst also learning a whole new set of artistic skills. We like to take you slightly off the beaten track too, meeting local people and visiting our favourite cafes \u2013 getting a genuine taste of life as a local in this beautiful corner of France.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ll have a personalised and authentic experience not only in sketching and art. You\u2019ll be discovering the best local foods and wines and learning about the history of the region. We also make sure you have plenty of opportunities to explore, shop, swim and relax in your own time.<\/p>\n
We welcome anyone of any age, no previous drawing skills or painting experience needed \u2013 just a desire to learn, have fun and be creative!<\/p>\n
This 6-night sketchbook adventure will take you through the essentials of travel sketching whilst having a lot of fun! We\u2019ll be sketching the scenery in and around the historic hill-top village of Quarante as well as the Canal du Midi.<\/p>\n
Why is this a travel sketching adventure? Because we\u2019ll be taking the bus so you won\u2019t even need a car! This will be great fun and sketching on-the-go, making memories and capturing the essence of those moments in your sketchbook.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ll focus on observing shapes, page planning and working fast and loose with watercolour, how to sketch people and architecture, perspective, flowers and nature.<\/p>\n
Our sketching itinerary starts the evening of 6 September. After that we\u2019ll be sketching in the morning from 10am and through lunch on 4 of the days, giving you one day free to explore the area on your own, do some more sketching or relax by the private pool.<\/p>\n
