These short indoor ‘mini-workshops’ give you the chance to get out the house and connect with sketching friends doing something fun and creative – win win! The topics range from basic drawing skills – to exploring different sketching techniques. You don’t need any art experience or special materials, just a willingness to try new things!<\/p>\n

Back to Basics:<\/strong> Essential sketching tips to help you get going with those first lines on paper. No stress!<\/p>\n

Simplified Landscapes:<\/strong> Avoid overwhelm and learn how to simplify what you see and how to use colours more effectively.<\/p>\n

Drawing the Everyday:<\/strong> No idea what to sketch? Discover the magic in the mundane and bring it to life in your sketchbook<\/p>\n

Black & White:<\/strong> Working in mono is a fabulous way to see ‘values’ so in this workshop we’ll be creating sketches that have extra wow factor!<\/p>\n

Inktastic!:<\/strong> Drawing and painting with ink is unlike any other medium. A fun workshop to experiment with new ways of working with lines and text.\u00a0 Ink materials provided.<\/p>\n

Trees & Greens:<\/strong> Shortcuts to adding trees and greenery to your sketches, mixing greens and observing natural shapes.<\/p>\n

Water & Reflections:<\/strong> A gentle sketching in watercolour workshop to help you create the impression of water, on paper.<\/p>\n

Cats & Dogs:<\/strong> This fun workshop helps you simplify how to add some 4-legged friends to your sketches!<\/p>\n

Playing with Fire:<\/strong> We’ll build layers of colour to give the effect of warming flames, even if it’s cold outside!<\/p>\n

Festive Food:<\/strong> Get bold with ink and watercolour and sketch some traditional yuletide favourites.<\/p>\n

Let It Snow:<\/strong> This workshop gives you tips and techniques on creating those classic ‘winter’ scenes.<\/p>\n

Mimosa in Bloom:<\/strong> A workshop to create the impression of these bright seasonal blooms in a ‘loose watercolour’ style.<\/p>\n

The Easter Rabbit!\u00a0<\/strong> Before we hop into summer, have some fun with this sketch you could also use for an Easter or other greeting card design.<\/p>\n
