This incredible city and UNESCO heritage site is the location for our weekend sketching break in spring 2022.<\/p>\n

We’ll be based in the heart of La Cit\u00e9<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0From here we’ll start by getting to grips with some of the basics of sketching on location – ideal for beginners or a great refresher if you’ve already got some drawing or painting experience.\u00a0 You’ll learn a whole pack of tips and tricks about perspective, colour, adding people to your drawings and of course, making memories about this incredible area of France!<\/p>\n

The city of Carcassonne is world renowned and a sketcher’s paradise! The old Cit\u00e9 to the east of the city centre is a UNESCO world heritage site and an incredible fortress standing high up overlooking the city centre and surrounding countryside below. Across the river lies the ‘newer’ city of Carcassonne, with the Canal du Midi, stunning architecture and a fabulous jumble of narrow cobbled streets and elegant squares surrounded by caf\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
