Croquis Caf\u00e9 workshops are relaxed 2 hour gatherings to explore new techniques and subjects in an indoor setting. A great way to spend time with friends and learn new skills. No previous art experience is necessary, just a willingness to have a go!<\/p>\n

You will need a basic sketch kit including sketchbook (smooth paper), pencil, pen with waterproof ink and a basic watercolour set with brush. I recommend your paper is minimum 160gsm weight, and you will also need a water pot and tissues\/rag.\u00a0 Spare sketch kits are available on loan but if you would like to borrow materials please indicate this on the booking form.<\/p>\n

For those that wish to stay and continue the sketchbook banter there will be the opportunity to lunch together afterwards (and continue sketching if you wish!)<\/p>\n

B\u00e9ziers is a fascinating city that provides no end of subjects for sketchers! The impressive Cathedral Saint-Nazaire stands high above the city and overlooks the Canal du Midi and River Orb below. In the city centre is a huge avenue lined with plane trees and caf\u00e9s, leading to a historic area with cobbled streets and bric-a-brac shops. There are regular busy markets, both indoors and out. Towards the outskirts of the city is a modern shopping centre and a beautiful landscaped park full of statues, trees and fountains.<\/p>\n

The main railway station is within walking distance of the city centre and on the main TGV line between Marseille and Barcelona.
