SUMMARY:Urban Sketching in France with Ian Fennelly 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join Urban Sketchers instructor and inspirational artist Ian Fennelly for a fabulous week of workshops in the south of France 8-12 September 2025! \nIan has selected Nîmes as the location for these 5 workshops in 5 days. Nîmes is a fascinating and historic city\, with Roman architecture\, beautiful gardens and street side cafés – it offers an abundance of subjects for Ian’s wonderful art & captivating teaching style. \nWorkshop days\nIn these workshops Ian will guide you through 1 different sketch subject each day.  Usually\, the workshop day starts at 9.30am ending at approxiately 5pm. There is a short break for lunch so you can bring a picnic with you or find a local café/boulangerie nearby. \nMaterials\nYou will need an A3 sketch pad suitable for ink and watercolour – please click here for Ian’s preferred list of materials. \nGetting to Nîmes\nYou can fly direct to Nîmes with RyanAir or with other airlines to regional airports Montpellier\, Béziers and Marseille. Nîmes also has a central train station which serves the high-speed trains from Marseille\, Paris\, Bordeaux\, Toulouse & Perpignan. \nWhere to Stay\nYou will find a wide choice of accommodation in Nîmes\, from 4-star hotels to private apartments and rooms to rent. We recommend staying close to the Amphitheatre in the city centre. \nCost & Confirmation\nThe cost for the week is £495 which is payable in advance.  This includes all 5 workshops with Ian but excludes travel\, accommodation and refreshments.\nIan’s events are very popular and participant numbers are limited. At time of booking a £50 non-refundable deposit is requested to secure your place.
