DESCRIPTION:The busy mediterranean port town of Sète is also known as the Venice of Languedoc – with a network of canals winding through cobbled streets linked by bridges. \nThis fun workshop is a great way to explore Sète and learn more about its history. You don’t need previous art experience – just an interest in travel sketching and a willingness to learn. In the course of the day we’ll look at page planning\, how to simplify complex scenes and work with ink and watercolour on location. \nWorkshop starts 10.00am with a quick warm up sketch over coffee. We’ll pause for a light lunch before finishing our sketches in the afternoon. \nYou will need a sketchbook with paper 160gsm or higher – which can be purchased on the day if you do not have your own. \nWe will also use a black waterproof ink pen\, HB pencil\, basic watercolour kit\, brush and water pot. \nSome walking will be required so please wear comfortable shoes.
