You’ll discover how to plan your pages\, suggest textures and use colours with ink and watercolour on location. \nWorkshop starts 9.30am with a quick warm up sketch over coffee. \nYou will need a sketchbook with paper 160gsm or higher – which can be purchased on the day if you do not have your own. \nWe will also use a black waterproof ink pen\, HB pencil\, basic watercolour kit\, brush and water pot. SUMMARY:Sketch notes from the wine harvest
DESCRIPTION:Ideal for: A weekend break\, Walking\, Wine-tasting\, Photography\, Cycling \n\nAfter ‘les vendanges’\, this weekend sketch break we’ll be based in the historic village of Montouliers – located in the heart of Languedoc’s Minervois wine-growing region. \nWe’ll start by getting to grips with some of the basics of travel sketching with ink and watercolour – ideal for beginners or a great refresher if you’ve already got some drawing or painting experience. We’ll be exploring the village and surrounding area through our sketches\, learning a whole pack of tips and tricks about perspective\, colour\, journaling and of course\, tasting some of the local produce! \nThe holiday starts on Friday evening with a welcome drink at 6pm. We shall start sketching at 9.30am on Saturday finishing at approximately 4.30pm.  On Sunday we will sketch from 10am through to 1pm and the afternoon is yours to enjoy\, relax\, explore\, or sketch some more! \n \nWhere to stay: \nLa Calade is a newly renovated Chambre d’hôtes with 4 beautiful first floor bedrooms. All rooms have original features and beautiful private bathrooms.
