DESCRIPTION:Ideal for: A weekend away with the girls\, Photographers\, Francophiles\, Beach lovers \n\nIndulge in a weekend sketching by the sea!  For many decades Collioure has remained a very popular destination for artists. Rich in history it offers a huge variety of subjects for painting and drawing and in fantastic light. \nDuring this lovely weekend break we’ll be sketching around the old town and the chateau.  Our sketchbooks will be filled with colour as we study boats\, water and the hustle bustle of the busy cafés that surround the port. \nJoin for one or two days.  Saturday is a great introduction to page planning and use of line and watercolour – great for absolute beginners and a good refresher for sketchers with more experience. \n  \nWhere to stay: \nThere are a large number of hotels and other places to stay in Collioure. Here are just a few suggestions: \nLa Frégate\nHotel Les Templiers\nHotel Madeloc\nHotel Casa La Pairal \nTransport recommendations: \nFly to Perpignan\, Carcassonne or Toulouse\nClosest railway station: Collioure \nWhat to bring:\nSketchbook\, Portable sketching stool\, Basic watercolour travel set\, Watercolour brush\, HB/B/2B pencil\, eraser\, sharpener.  A detailed materials list will be sent with booking confirmation or by request. Simply email annette@sketchingfrance.com for full details.  If you need to use a sketch kit on loan\, this can also be arranged in advance. \nAdditional notes: \nThere will be some walking up and down hills and steps\, so please wear comfortable footwear and bring a waterproof in the event of inclement weather. \nPrice for 2 days sketch tuition 10am-4.00pm: 180€ per person\nExcludes meals\, transport and accommodation.  For anyone arriving Friday evening there will be a welcome drink & get-together at 6pm. \nIf you would like more information before booking – please email me annette@sketchingfrance.com \n
