SUMMARY:Languedoc Vine Guardians - Sketching the Seasons
DESCRIPTION:A series of fun sketch workshops based on life in the vineyards throughout the year in association with Languedoc Vine Guardians.  There will be 4 events taking place at Vignoble Puy\, a small winery situated in the quaint village of Roubia alongside the Canal du Midi. \nEach workshop will show you drawing and watercolour techniques to fill your sketchbook pages with colourful memories – you can join one class or more\, and you don’t need previous art experience to enjoy taking part! \nA list of suggested materials will be provided but sketch kits are also available if you do not have your own.  The workshops start at 10am finishing at approximately 1pm on the following Thursdays \n\n29 February\n25 April\n5 September\n31 October\n\nWe will sketch outside as well as indoors – coffee/a glass of wine is included in the workshop fee.  Places are limited. \nWorkshop price: 75€ \nJoin all 4 Roubia workshops for 250€ and you’ll also receive the online class every month for free! \n  \nOnline classes and ‘A Year in the Vines’ sketchbook\nIf you are unable to attend an event in Roubia\, I will also be recording workshops every month that you can enjoy from anywhere in the world!  ‘A Year in the Vines‘ gives you the chance to sketch from the comfort of your own home. DESCRIPTION:Who doesn’t enjoy browsing a French market?!   There’s so much atmosphere – all the sights and sounds and energy of people busy buying and selling gorgeous local produce – the smells\, shapes\, flavours and colours are an absolute treat for the senses! \nSketching a market is great fun too\, but it may seem a bit daunting at first…  Fear not\, in this workshop we will see how to simplify the drawing to capture the essence of the day\, and then use washes of bright watercolour to enhance our final sketch. \nThe workshop is designed for anyone interested in getting started with travel and urban sketching\, or someone who may not feel confident with watercolour and would like to work in a brighter\, looser style! \nYou will not need many materials\, recommended items include a sketchbook\, pencil\, basic set of watercolours and a few ink pens with waterproof ink.  If you do not have your own sketch kit then one can be provided on loan\, by prior arrangement. \nNo previous art experience is necessary\, all you’ll need is a basic sketch kit\, an open-mind and a love of traditional French markets! \n\n  \n
