SUMMARY:Travel Sketching Workshop: Carnet de Voyage
DESCRIPTION:A series of 2 fabulous new workshops taking place in conjunction with the association CroqaVif – choose to join one or both! \nEach workshop takes place in Servian from 10am – 1pm and will be indoors – if the weather is fine there is the option for the group to continue sketching outdoors in the afternoon. \nYou will need to bring your own sketchbook and a suggested materials list will be supplied. If staying for the afternoon you will also need to bring a packed lunch. \n\nFriday 16 February: Composition and linework – what to look for in a composition and tips for create dynamic sketches using ink\nFriday 1 March: Mixing media – using different methods and materials to create beautiful sketchbook pages\n\nPlaces are limited so early booking is advised. \n\nIndividual workshop price: 50€\nBoth workshops: 80€\n\nThe workshops will be in French – with English subtitles 😉  If you would like any more information before booking\, please don’t hesitate to emailme@annettemorris.art \n

DESCRIPTION:Do you have trouble switching off from your thoughts? Do you feel stressed or tired or that you never have time for yourself?\nThen this is the day for you! \nSlowing down to enjoy the process of exploring colours and shapes reconnects you with the creative ‘you’. To help you forget day to day and inner worries this relaxing art workshop is for non artists and artists alike! \nThe event will be held in Le Somail\n9.30am to 2pm\nCost: 75€ including refreshments\, 3 course lunch\, guided meditation & sketching tuition \nLimited places are available so please register in advance. \n\nWelcome drinks on arrival (homemade lemon and ginger infusion\, or your choice of tea)\nEmily will lead a 30 minute group guided meditation\, aimed at putting you in a relaxed and present state\, and opening up your inner creativity. We will create a beautiful\, calm group energy which will lead you perfectly into connecting with your creative self.\nSketching can quieten the mind and in this 2 hour workshop Annette will introduce you to ways you can calm your thoughts with water\, colour and mark-making. You’ll create a unique piece of artwork which will be both beautifully abstract and full of meaning.\nFollowing the workshop there will be 3 course homemade vegetarian lunch. (All diary requirements can be catered for).\nAfter lunch you can also choose to take time for yourself to explore something new by adding a relaxing Reiki treatment with Emily (payable on the day)\n\n20 minute taster session – 15€\n30 minutes – 20€

SUMMARY:Languedoc Vine Guardians - Sketching the Seasons
DESCRIPTION:A series of fun sketch workshops based on life in the vineyards throughout the year in association with Languedoc Vine Guardians.  There will be 4 events taking place at Vignoble Puy\, a small winery situated in the quaint village of Roubia alongside the Canal du Midi. \nEach workshop will show you drawing and watercolour techniques to fill your sketchbook pages with colourful memories – you can join one class or more\, and you don’t need previous art experience to enjoy taking part! \nA list of suggested materials will be provided but sketch kits are also available if you do not have your own.  The workshops start at 10am finishing at approximately 1pm on the following Thursdays \n\n29 February\n25 April\n5 September\n31 October\n\nWe will sketch outside as well as indoors – coffee/a glass of wine is included in the workshop fee.  Places are limited. \nWorkshop price: 75€ \nJoin all 4 Roubia workshops for 250€ and you’ll also receive the online class every month for free! \n  \nOnline classes and ‘A Year in the Vines’ sketchbook\nIf you are unable to attend an event in Roubia\, I will also be recording workshops every month that you can enjoy from anywhere in the world!  ‘A Year in the Vines‘ gives you the chance to sketch from the comfort of your own home. These online classes will follow activities at Vignoble Puy throughout the year so are a wonderful way to develop your sketch techniques whilst staying in touch with news from Leanne and Emmanuel.  Follow the series and capture your own ‘year in the vines’ at Vignoble Puy! \nOnline sketch classes: 25€/month\, or 200€ for the year – register here!  \n  \n\nWho are The Languedoc Vine Guardians?\nThe Languedoc Vine Guardian program was set up in 2021 by Wendy Gedney and her team at Vin en Vacances to help Emmanuel Puy\, a talented young Minervois wine maker following the unusual late spring frost which devastated his vines reducing his crop by over 75%.  Guardians adopt a row of Vignoble Puy vines and receive a case of wine\, invitations to events at the domaine\, free use of the vineyard trail and picnic area and their name stake planted at the end of their adopted row of vines.  With over a hundred Guardians the program is very social and they each have their own personal connection to the Puy vineyard.  Their support has helped this small independent winemaker to overcome the damage\, thrive again and continue to produce delicious Languedoc wines. \nThese sketch workshops are open to everyone\, but if you would like to become a Guardian or even a Copain\, please visit the Vignoble Puy website here \n\n  \n\n
