We’ll enjoy strolling through the streets sketching and capturing the vibrant colours and atmosphere of one of the most beautiful cities in the world! \nThe tuition will cover the essentials of sketching on location\, which is ideal if you are a beginner or lacking confidence in your drawing. You will learn how to use ink and watercolour selectively\, quickly and with confidence. \nSuggested accommodation:\nThe 5th arrondissement is a great choice for travellers interested in history\, art and culture. Notre Dame Cathedral is a 10-minute walk away. \n\nSample itinerary: \n\nFriday: arrival and check-in. DESCRIPTION:Sketch Béziers – one of the oldest cities in France! Discover the incredible architecture\, the Canal du Midi\, café culture and beautiful markets. You’ll explore the city like a local sampling food at some of my favourite bistros whilst creating some beautiful memories in your sketchbook. \nSaturday will start with a café sketch at 10am before other sketches on location. We’ll continue our sketches after lunch and continue sketching until about 5pm.  Sunday we’ll move onto new techniques to journal city life before enjoying Sunday lunch together.  We’ll finish our sketches around 2pm so the afternoon is yours to relax and explore. There’s so much to see! \nThere may be some walking\, and we may also take the bus – the opportunities are endless! \nBéziers has so much to offer visitors to this area\, and it is easily accessible via public transport. If you prefer not to hire a car\, the local airport offers a shuttle bus to the heart of the city centre and the train station is within walking distance of most central attractions. \nWhat to bring\nA basic sketch kit is all you’ll need. We’ll start by getting to grips with some of the basics of travel sketching with ink and watercolour – ideal for beginners or a great refresher if you’ve already got some drawing or painting experience. We’ll be exploring the village and surrounding area through our sketches\, learning a whole pack of tips and tricks about perspective\, colour\, journaling and of course\, tasting some of the local produce! \nThe holiday starts on Friday evening with a welcome drink at 6pm. We shall start sketching at 9.30am on Saturday finishing at approximately 4.30pm.  On Sunday we will sketch from 10am through to 1pm and the afternoon is yours to enjoy\, relax\, explore\, or sketch some more! \n \nWhere to stay: \nLa Calade is a newly renovated Chambre d’hôtes with 4 beautiful first floor bedrooms. All rooms have original features and beautiful private bathrooms.
