DESCRIPTION:Ideal for: A weekend break\, Walking\, Wine-tasting\, Photography\, Cycling \n\nFor this weekend break we’ll be based in the historic village of Montouliers – located in the heart of Languedoc’s Minervois wine-growing region. We’ll start by getting to grips with some of the basics of travel sketching with ink and watercolour – ideal for beginners or a great refresher if you’ve already got some drawing or painting experience. We’ll be exploring the village and surrounding area through our sketches\, learning a whole pack of tips and tricks about perspective\, colour\, journaling and of course\, tasting some of the local produce! \nThe holiday starts on Friday evening with a welcome drink at 6pm. We shall start sketching at 9.30am on Saturday finishing at approximately 4.30pm.  On Sunday we will sketch from 10am through to 1pm and the afternoon is yours to enjoy\, relax\, explore\, or sketch some more! \n \nWhere to stay: \nLa Calade is a newly renovated Chambre d’hôtes with 4 beautiful first floor bedrooms. All rooms have original features and beautiful private bathrooms. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a short break in this beautiful city and take advantage of a wonderful opportunity to learn from international USk instructor and British artist Ian Fennelly. \nIan will be offering workshops and demonstrations on 5 days from 19-23 September 2022. \nThe workshops start approximately 9.30am where Ian will choose a location and work through the line drawing step by step so everyone can sketch alongside.  There will be a break for lunch\, which can be taken with the group but some people prefer to make their own arrangements.\nAfter lunch\, Ian will help everyone develop and complete their sketches and the workshop will finish approximately 4.30pm.  Ian often then does an additional quick sketching and invites others in the group to work along with him.\n  \nThe cost per person is £75 per day payable in advance. This excludes any meals\, refreshments or transport. \nFor this workshop holiday Ian will be based in Montpellier\, which also has an airport and SNCF train station.
