DESCRIPTION:Join Urban Sketchers instructor and inspirational artist Ian Fennelly for a fabulous week of workshops in the south of France 16-20 September 2024! \nIan has selected Béziers as the location for these 5 workshops in 5 days. Béziers is one of the oldest cities in France; and with incredible architecture\, cobbled streets\, tree lined boulevards and street-side cafés – it offers an abundance of subjects for Ian’s wonderful art & captivating teaching style. \nWorkshop days\nIn these workshops Ian will guide you through 1 different sketch subject each day.  Usually\, the workshop day starts at 9.30am ending at approxiately 5pm. There is a short break for lunch so you can bring a picnic with you or find a local café/boulangerie nearby. \nMaterials\nYou will need an A3 sketch pad suitable for ink and watercolour – please click here for Ian’s preferred list of materials. \nGetting to Béziers\nYou can fly direct to Béziers with RyanAir or with other airlines to regional airports Montpellier\, Carcassonne\, Toulouse and Perpignan. Béziers also has a central train station which serves the high-speed trains from Marseille\, Paris\, Bordeaux & Barcelona. \nWhere to Stay\nYou will find a wide choice of accommodation in Béziers\, from 4-star hotels to private apartments and rooms to rent. We recommend staying close to the Allées Paul Riquet and the theatre in the city centre. \nCost & Confirmation\nThe cost for the week is £450 which is payable in advance.  This includes all 5 workshops with Ian but excludes travel\, accommodation and refreshments.\nIan’s events are very popular and participant numbers are limited.
