DESCRIPTION:Slow down and enjoy sketching luscious Languedoc countryside and villages whilst cruising the beautiful Canal du Midi.  Starting from the pretty port of Le Somail and aboard the wide beam cruiser ‘Bordeaux’ you will be hosted by Emily who will captain the boat as we slowly cruise this picturesque and historic landscape. \nOnce we have chosen a spot to moor the boat\, Emily will lead a guided meditation aimed at connecting you to nature and putting you firmly in the present moment. You will allow yourselves to put aside any worries or stress to allow your creative side to fully open. \nThis glorious day to remember is designed for a small group\, so it’s ideal for anyone new to sketching plus those who already have some experience. \nThe workshop will be filled with useful drawing tips and how to add watercolour to your sketches. You’ll enjoy delicious fresh locally sourced food and wonderful views of this very special part of southern France. \nSketching materials can be provided if you do not have your own \nTo ensure a wonderful experience for all\, the group size will be limited so advanced booking is essential \nCost: Canal cruise\, sketching tuition\, morning coffee and a 3 course lunch with local wines – 140€

DESCRIPTION:Relax and learn to sketch in style aboard a canal cruise boat on the Canal du Midi. \nWe will gently make our way along a beautiful section of the Canal whilst learning some of the essentials of drawing and painting ‘on the move’.  This trip is also a wonderful experience for photographers and non-sketching partners to sit back and discover more about this fascinating UNESCO heritage site. \nJoin us all aboard at 10am.  Your hostess Kate also provides refreshments\, a 3 course delicious lunch and all food and wine is included in the workshop fee. \nYou will need to bring a sketchbook with paper 160gsm or higher – which can be purchased on the day if you do not have your own. \nWe will also use a black waterproof ink pen\, HB pencil\, basic watercolour kit\, brush and water pot.\nA sketch kit can be provided on loan if necessary. \nWe recommend wearing flat comfortable shoes with a rubber sole. \nBookings close 11 September.
